Thief (2014)

I played this game recently and i thought it was pretty good.



Thief is a game focused on the element of "stealth" and it's developed by Eidos Montreal. It's the first thief game i ever played and from what i've heard it's a revival of the series. It's actually the fourth game of the series but you don't need to have played the old ones to understand what happens in this new one.



The story takes place hundreds of years after the events of the original series, but it's in the same universe. This new tale begins when Garrett is with his former apprentice, Erin. They end up accepting the same work given by Basso, his contact. However, something terrible happens and the story unfolds from there on.
Similar to the old titles, players must use and abuse stealth in Thief, that is, they can not be seen by enemies and should only use violence as a last resort. Incidentally, the game is very punishing for the player who is not discreet, if a single soldier finds you it's still possible to survive, but with two or more you can prepare to reload your last save because your not surviving.



Overall Thief is a good stealth game. The game punishes the player who is not discreet, but there are countless ways to get by without being detected. It's a relatively short game, but its experience is rewarding, and it offers some innovative elements to the stealth genre.
